No engagement is priced the same way. These are the factors that move the number up or down — knowing them helps you come to the conversation prepared.

Scope clarity A well-defined problem costs less to solve than an open-ended one. The more you know about what you need, the tighter we can scope it.
Technical complexity A single device configuration is different from a multi-site network build or a full automation stack. Complexity is scoped honestly, not padded.
Timeline Rushed timelines cost more. If you have flexibility, we can often find a more cost-effective path through the work.
Ongoing vs. one-time Retainer and fractional engagements carry a slight discount over pure hourly work in exchange for scheduling commitment.
